"Dancing," Lohan vs. Obama and Gwyneth's goop

The seventh season of "Dancing with the Stars" premiered on ABC tonight, and it was thoroughly entertaining. A few thoughts about the new cast:
  • At this point, I'm rooting for Misty May-Treanor (partnered with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, a.k.a. Mr. Hot Pants), Susan Lucci (partnered with Tony Dovolani) and Lance Bass (partnered with Lacey Schwimmer). I am a big fan of Misty's, and of course Maks is super hot, so they have my vote! I've adored Susan Lucci for years and will keep voting for her, even though her first dance wasn't too impressive. As for Lance Bass, I had no idea I'd be rooting for him, but he did a great job tonight, and his dance partner is awesome! She is my new favorite part of the show.

Paging Dr. Ross--stat!

I haven't watched "ER" in ages, but this is the last season of NBC's hit medical drama, and a lot of former stars are returning as guest stars this year. Noah Wyle and Anthony Edwards have already signed on, and rumors continue to build about the possibility of George Clooney returning as Dr. Doug Ross! In a recent interview, Anthony Edwards claimed that the show's producers are doing their best to get "everyone" back for the final season...and "everyone" includes George! I really, really, REALLY hope he returns to the show, and I think there's a good chance that he will. Remember when Juliana Margulies finally left the show?

Same zip code, new kids (and a few familiar faces)

I think it's safe to say that I am officially hooked on the new "90210." I've watched the first three episodes and am actually pretty impressed by it, although I wish the original cast members had a little more screentime. Yes, the show is kind of hokey, but it's "90210!" Hokeyness abounds! A few random comments about the series:
  • With a few exceptions, I like the "new batch" of kids, especially the Wilson twins. Shenae Grimes is adorable as Annie, the girl-next-door from Kansas, and Tristan Wilds is hilarious as Annie's adopted brother, Dixon.

Greetings, readers! Some of you may have followed "All That Glitters" from it's former home on the Beep Web site, and some of you may be brand new readers. Regardless, thanks for taking the time to check out my blog. I look forward to ripping on celebrities with all of you in the near future! The old "All That Glitters" archives may not have made their way over to the Daily Herald site, but I've actually been writing this blog for about two years now. Here are a few basic things you need to know:
  • We are all welcome to our opinions: I have mine, you have yours and we may vehemently disagree with each other...but that's okay. I'm all in favor of spirited debates in this blog, but let's play nice, okay?
