"You're late...you're late...for a very important date!"

Check out the trailer for Tim Burton's version of "Alice in Wonderland," due in theatres next spring. It looks promising, but I hope the whole movie doesn't revolve around Johnny Depp. Don't get me wrong...I love Johnny Depp as much as the next person. However, this film boasts an incredibly talented cast, including Helena Bonham Carter as the Queen of Hearts, and she wasn't even featured in the trailer. What's up with that?

"Harry Potter and the Half-***ed Film"

I took a half-day off of work to see "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," and I was majorly disappointed. The movie kind of sucked! Check out my review and let me know what you thought of the film!

Michael's last hurrah

I just realized that I forgot to comment on all the Michael Jackson memorial hoopla from yesterday. That's probably because I didn't watch any of it. I had absolutely no interest, which surprised me. I did check in briefly early on just to see if it was a closed casket (it was, thank god). I also watched the clip of Michaels' young daughter, Paris, giving a brief eulogy for her dad, which was quite sad. However, I had absolutely no desire to watch any of the monstrous coverage, which at times seemed even crazier than the Obama inauguration coverage. I cannot believe all the major television networks covered it all freaking day, and that Michael made the Internet crash AGAIN! That's twice in two weeks!

Celebrity mug shot of the day

Guess which former "Three's Company" star was arrested on DUI charges over the weekend? (Hint: it's not John Ritter.)

Click here for the answer and to view the hilarious mug shot!

Guess which Harry Potter star has swine flu?

Of course it's Rupert Grint, a.k.a. Ron Weasley!

Am I the only one who thinks this is kind of funny?

Still, get well soon, Rupert!

Billie Jean is NOT my lover.

Way to steal Farrah's thunder, Michael.

The King of Pop is dead at 50 years old. Well, at least supposedly. My husband just finished telling me that he doesn't think Michael is dead at all. According to him, this is just one huge publicity stunt, and Michael will rise again on July 13, the date he's scheduled to perform his first sold-out London concert. He'll open the show with "Black or White" and emerge on stage re-pigmented like Robert Downey, Jr. in "Tropic Thunder" (although I think that may have been a hoax, too).

First Ed, then Farrah...now Michael?!

Michael Jackson apparently went into cardiac arrest this afternoon and was rushed to the hospital. Supposedly he wasn't breathing in the ambulance, and several media outlets are reporting that the former King of Pop has died (although that has NOT been confirmed!). Michael's only 50 years old and was allegedly on the brink of a big comeback...what the heck is going on now?! Will Michael make it? Stay tuned.

Farewell, Farrah Fawcett

Posted by mipplet on Thu, 06/25/2009 - 16:55

The past week has been a big one in the world of celebrity news. Ed McMahon died. Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick welcomed twin girls with the help of a surrogate mother. Jon and Kate announced their split (big whoop). Now today, Farrah Fawcett died from cancer at the age of 62.

This gives new meaning to the term "electrifying performance."

During a performance at the MuchMusic Awards in Vancouver, Lady Gaga wore a corset that shot fireworks out of her breasts. Check out the photos! This completely puts Madonna's cone bras to shame.

I don't know about the rest of the ladies out there, but I wouldn't want fire to shoot out of any part of me, at any time. I guess that's why I'm not a pop star millionaire!

Long live the dancing baby!

One of my favorite television shows of all time is FINALLY being released on DVD..."Ally McBeal"! The complete series is already available for preorder on Amazon.com, along with Season 1 individually. I am SO EXCITED! I've been waiting for this for years. I could never understand why so many god-awful shows and series that most people have never heard of have been available on DVD for years, and until now, "Ally McBeal" has only been released in the form of a crappy gift set that contains five or six random episodes. Supposedly it has to do with royalties on the music that was featured on the program, but that sounds kind of ridiculous to me. Regardless, I cannot wait to get my hands on this show!
