Khabibulin not at practice

No Khabibulin at practice Friday, which means it's anybody's guess when the goalie returns from the injury nobody is supposed to know about.
Joel Quenneville had hoped for Khabibulin to practice Friday, possibly opening the door a crack that he could play Sunday against Phoenix. Now it looks iffy if Khabibulin could even return for Wednesday's game against Ottawa.
Cristobal Huet will get the start in Detroit on Saturday, unless Quenneville pulls a surprise, with Sunday's goalie to be determined. It might be time to give Corey Crawford a shot.
I wish I could be a fly on the glass at the practices. I wonder how Crawford has looked in practice. If memory serves me correctly, Crawford did pretty good against Detroit. Maybe he should get a chance to play. Of course, now that Huet has been playing better.... well, that's why they pay Coach Q the big bucks!
