The answer to almost everything

The answer to almost everything

To commemorate Animal Farm's 200 post we provide the answer to a political conundrum that has hung up two states -- Illinois and New York.

Caroline Kennedy should be the next U.S. senator from the great state of Illinois.

That's who Gov. Rod Blagojevich should name to serve out Barack Obama's term. It wouldn't be the first time the state tried to import its senator (Google "Alan Keyes" if you don't get it).

It takes care of a big head ache for New York Gov. David Paterson (and we do what we can to make life easier for the Patersons). He can go ahead and name a potential rival for governor to ease his re-election and no longer worry about angering big liberal donors or the Kennedy clan for snubbing Caroline.

For Blagojevich there's nothing but positives. He picks someone clean of his taint. And I'd just like to see Harry Reid try to follow through on that promise not to seat anyone Blagojevich picks. (Google "Ted Kennedy" for perspective).

And that, in celebration of breaking the two century mark, is the Animal Farm holiday present to the political world.

Happy holidays.
