OK, Nintendo Wii. You can stay.
Two weeks ago, I complained that I wasn't getting my money's worth out of the Nintendo Wii.
I'm done whining. Oh, the joys of online gaming.
For sixty bucks, here's what I was able to buy last night from the online WiiShop:
Games
Alien Crush
Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse
Devil's Crush
Legend of Zelda
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Super Mario Bros.
Super Metroid
Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers
Rock Band tracks
"Afterlife," Avenged Sevenfold
"...And Justice for All," Metallica
"Baba O'Riley," The Who
"Zero," Smashing Pumpkins
That's what I'm talking about. Those eight games cost me (no, make that my parents) approximately $350 back in the day. Now I can get them all of them downloaded to a hard drive for $51.
If you're not familiar with Alien Crush and Devil's Crush, don't hesitate to download them at $5 apiece -- they are pinball games with living targets, spooky theming, and awesome music. They were easily the best games to grace NEC's underwhelming TurboGrafx-16, which I only had because I won it from EGM when I was 10 years old. Check out Alien Crush below:
I attempted to play some online matches of Rock Band 2. I say "attempted" because all of my opponents ditched out, mid-song. Come on, people. That's lame.
So I'm finally online. Maybe someday I'll figure out what the heck a Wii Friend Code is, and we can play some Smash Bros.
