"Staycation"? Ugh.

"Staycation"? Ugh.

I have nine days off from June 27 to July 5, and my original plans for that weekend fell through; I would have been tooling around Los Angeles, seeing "WALL-E" on opening night at the El Capitan, hiking in Runyan Canyon and taking in a show at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, but life has decided to deal me a different hand.

So now what I should I do? I have a few ideas, and I want to know what y'all think. They are:

• Go to the entire White Sox/Cleveland Indians series at The Cell

• Drive to Cincinnati and finally see the Great American Ballpark

• Take an Amtrak train to Cleveland, see a ballgame; then continue along the rails to Washington D.C. to visit our nation's capital for the first time

• Drive to Sandusky, Ohio, and ride Cedar Point's 120,325,573 roller coasters

• Go to Summerfest in Milwaukee and see a bunch of bands I don't really care about

• Put my money where my mouth is and dominate Karaoke night at my local watering hole

• Fly to Manchester, N.H., and drive to the Funspot, the facility featured in "The King of Kong" that has every classic arcade game you can think of (including my all-time favorite, Atari's "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom")

• Sit at home, dedicating myself to beating "Twilight Princess" and "Kingdom Hearts II" after all this time

or, the option that would be the most sensible...

• Get a second job at the movie theater, the video store or the Meijer.

What would you do if you were me?
