As a sophomore at Vanderbilt, Bears OLT Chris Williams helped protect Jay Cutler's blind side while Cutler was putting up SEC bests of 3,073 passing yards and 273 completions.
But Williams didn't want to be drawn into the Cutler-to-the-Bears rumors regardless of how many questions were fired at him.

“Want to talk about Cutler?” Williams was asked.

“No,” he said.

“Any opinion?” the questioner continued.

“No. I've got nothing to say about it,” Williams said. “That's Jerry Angelo's business, and I wish (Cutler) the best.”

Later on, Williams was asked about Cutler's leadership qualities.

“Jay was a great quarterback in college,” Williams said. “I enjoyed playing with him, and he threw a lot of touchdowns, so it was fun in college, but I'm sure he's matured a lot since.”

The question is: Could Cutler help this team?

“It's not up to me,” Williams said. We have a quarterback. We've got three quarterbacks actually. Kyle's a great quarterback. I don't make personnel changes.”

Could that "questioner" be

Could that "questioner" be the know it all who wrote this column?
Reporters love to throw themselves into the story every chance they get.
And Cutler can take his whining to another city. We don't need another egomaniac like Rex. What if this guy doesn't pan out? He is turnover prone and has a LOSING record as a starter.

Diva? Who cares....

Jay Cutler has more quarterback talent in his pinkie finger than Orton does in his whole body! Diva or not the Bears need a quarterback and he is the best one available. Let me see... Diva has rocket arm with needle head precision and is already a Pro Bowler, Orton has.... what exactly does Orton have?

Still go After him.

Just cause these players feel this way doesn't mean the bears shouldn't still go get Jay Cutler, and you know the players on the bears wouldn't say I'd be much happier with Cutler. When knowing the chances of getting him are slimmer than having Orton start at QB this year.

Seriously?!!

Why do you guys ask such stupid questions? Come on, did you think he'd say anything that would make it look like he preferred one QB over the other?

I don't care who you ask... nobody's going to throw Kyle under the bus, at least not until they bring in Jay Cutler... even if they do, I don't think anyone would say anything bad about Orton.
