Kirk to finalize divorce

U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk, a Highland Park Republican, has announced his divorce will be finalized on Monday. Here is a statement from spokesman Eric Elk:
"Congressman Kirk’s divorce from his wife of eight years, Kimberly Vertolli, will become final on Monday, June 8. They remain friends and the legal filings related to the divorce will not be sealed."
Kirk was on a radio program in Chicago today appearing to be leaning toward a run for governor. He is also debating a run for Senate.
Kirk said back in April that he would decide on a run in May. It is June 5.
But many potential statewide candidates are waiting to see what Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan will do. She is also debating a run for Senate or governor.
