Quentin's back in action
Bad news for the White Sox Saturday afternoon, a 6-4 loss to the Royals that snapped a seven-game winning streak.
Good news for the Sox Saturday night. In his first rehab game with Class AAA Charlotte, left fielder Carlos Quentin (sore left foot) was 2-for-3 with a run-scoring single.
If he continues progressing, Quentin should rejoin the Sox this week. He’s been out since the end of May.
When Quentin is reinstated, look for Scott Podsednik to move from left to center field. That could mean either Brian Anderson or Dewayne Wise is out, but the White Sox have got to be thinking about jettisoning left-handed reliever Jimmy Gobble and going with an 11-man pitching staff.

Exactly I have said for awhile , keep Brian and Dewayne and give Gobble a ticket to leave town. He is a waste sitting in Pen and similar to what McDougal was with Sox . Although not as good of stuff as Mac's, just as scarey/wild and all over the place. As Dewayne can spell Dye also. And Brian great late inning for "D"protection.
