RIP, Ted Kennedy

I was very sad to hear of the passing of Senator Ted Kennedy last night. Regardless of whether you agreed with his politics, you have to admit that this man devoted practically his entire life to serving his country, and that's very admirable. He wasn't a perfect man, but Senator Kennedy was one of the most influential politicians in all American history. My thoughts are with his family during this incredibly difficult time. (They just buried Eunice Kennedy Shriver last week...it seems like these poor people never get a break.)

Ted Kennedy

I don't care how many good deeds he did while in office, it doesn't redeem him in Mary Jo's eyes. I cringed every time I saw that man on TV knowing that he let that women die to save his own behind. I could never trust a person who has done that. Barroiddonds says: "if you are an a middle class or poor, disabled, female, minority, veteran, developmentally challenged, a student or elderly, Ted Kennedy devoted his life to make your life better" you must be joking, he didn't devote any of his life to make Mary Jo's better...Please stop making this man out to be a saint. I could just puke on every person who says "but look at all the good he did in office." Oh really well I guess that makes it okay to kill people as long as you do better next time. What a freakin joke!

Ted Kennedy

I wish more people would read and educate themselves from something other than the National Enquirer and People Magazine. Ted Kennedy made some bad mistakes in life and by his own admission, he was not perfect. However, if you take the time to look at all the bills he either wrote, sponsored or co-sponsored in his 47 years in the Senate, you would understand how very important he was. The Civil Rights Bill, ERA, Minimum Wage, Mine Workers safety, Health Care, Community Colleges, etc. The list goes on and on...if you are an a middle class or poor, disabled, female, minority, veteran, developmentally challenged, a student or elderly, Ted Kennedy devoted his life to make your life better. He did not HAVE to do anything with his life, he was born wealthy. Yet he spent his days in the Senate laboring for the common man. Quite an accomplishment for someone who never was a common man.
