Hard Knocks: Bears? Just hoping

I will miss HBO’s Hard Knocks ’09: Training Camp with the Cincinnati Bengals, and especially wide receiver Chad Ochocinco.

Just watched the final episode, and it was interesting to see former Bears Cedric Benson and Tank Johnson again. Even J.D. Runnels, however briefly.

I’d love to see the Bears featured on the show, but it’ll never happen, at least as long as Lovie Smith is the head coach. It would be too much of an intrusion for an organization and a head coach that value privacy and secrecy, which is understandable -- to a point.

I don’t think the Bears have anyone as hilarious as Ochocinco, but there are a couple who could be pretty funny if they got into the spirit of the show -- entertainment.

If there were a Hard Knocks ’10: Training Camp with the Chicago Bears, the stars would be Olin Kreutz and Alex Brown. Kreutz is just flat-out amusing in a sarcastic sort of way, while Brown is as outgoing and personable as anyone who’s ever worked at Halas Hall.

And believe it or not, Brian Urlacher, the shunner of most things media, would also be good for a lot of laughs if he allowed himself to lighten up a bit for the cameras. As for dispensing football information, tight end Desmond Clark would probably be the go-to guy.

lets hope if it does happen

lets hope if it does happen alot of the old faces you are clamoring to see are gone (clark will be a UFA. this season wasnt nearly as good as last yr with the cowboys. The bengals should be sent to the UFL, what a joke of an organization., they make me feel better about the bears
