The former governor claims U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald "mutilates the truth."

Former Gov. Rod Blagojevich and his wife, Patti, will attend the funeral of Chris Kelly who died over the weekend.

Christopher Kelly was one of the key so-called shadow advisers within Rod Blagojevich's administration, wielding great influence while not actually working for the state.
His death is past weekend got me thinking about the very rare occassions I ever saw him in Springfield. In fact, the only time I remember seeing him in the public spotlight in an official capacity was at the 2003 inauguration of Blagojevich and other statewide leaders. Kelly was chairman of the inauguration committee and spoke at the ceremony.
