Go with Tillman, Bowman at CB
I wouldn’t be surprised to see the three-man rotation at cornerback come to a screeching halt.
It wasn’t a bad idea to use Nate Vasher in the opener to ease Zack Bowman and, especially Charles Tillman, back into the lineup. Bowman missed three weeks with a hamstring injury and played in only the last preseason game. Tillman didn’t play in any preseason games and didn’t participate in training camp. He practiced for just a week before the Packers game, so it was wise not to ask him to play every snap in the opener.
But now that Bowman and Tillman have come through unscathed, they should be the full-time, every-down starters, and Vasher should be relegated to backup duty or insurance in case of injury. Vasher did not impress in the preseason, and his soft coverage continued Sunday night. He was also toasted for the game-winning TD.
"There were a couple plays you can't (have),” Lovie Smith said of Vasher’s performance. “You can't give up the deep ball late. Nate wasn't the only one that was a part of that. You can't do that, but he did some good things in the game also."
Vasher did have 6 tackles, all but 1 of them coming after receivers caught passes in front of or behind him.

how did vasher become so worthless?
