Lights...camera...Ozzie!
Not interested in the World Series, which starts Wednesday and likely ends sometime before Christmas?
Here's a reason to tune in, especially if you're a White Sox/Ozzie Guillen fan.
For whatever reason, FOX TV wanted to keep this under wraps until midnight, so we'll go ahead and break the news as soon as the calendar hits Thursday...
OK, here is it _ Guillen has agreed to come off his boat and serve as FOX's pre/postgame analyst for the Fall Classic.
It's a major coup for the network, especially considering Ozzie has turned down similar TV gigs in the past. FOX should be ecstatic about landing major-league baseball's most interesting voice, but just to be safe, it had better make sure the dump button is in working order.
Good for FOX, good for baseball fans and, most of all, good for Ozzie.
When he was playing for the White Sox, Ozzie always spoke his mind and didn't care whose feelings (paging Frank Thomas) he hurt.
I thought he'd pull back a bit when he took over as the Sox' manager in 2004, but the hits kept coming.
And now that he's going to be holed up in a stuffy TV studio, look for the trend to continue.
I have heard from thousands of people about Ozzie over the years, and many can't stand the way he rambles on.
He wears me out from time to time, without a doubt, but I can't wait to see what Ozzie has to say on the tube.
Should the Yankees advance, however, be prepared for a lot of Derek Jeter love from Ozzie. He'll also tell you how good N.Y. second baseman Robinson Cano is.
If Ozzie is as good a TV analyst as I think he'll be, it looks like he'll have a new home when he gets fired by the White Sox. They all do, you know.

ALL RIGHT, GREAT FOR a fun forum on Fox W/S coverage.
