Knox in rare company with Payton, Sayers
Almost from the moment he was drafted, Johnny Knox has been asked how his elite speed compares to that of teammates Devin Hester and fellow Abilene Christian product Danieal Manning.
"I get that a lot," Knox said, "but you can't forget about Darryl MaGee, the dude that was on the sideline with my kickoff return. He should be in that category too."
Magee is the Bears ball boy who was shadow highlighted by ESPN while running along the sideline nearly step for step with Knox during the rookie's 102-yard kickoff-return TD.
As for challenging his teammates, Knox said: "If we did race, I'd be nervous because we have some pretty fast guys on this team."
Even more amazing the Knox’s speed is that he’s scored a touchdown in four straight games, the first Bears rookie to do so since Walter Payton in 1975. Since 1963, the only other Bears rookie to score in four straight games was Gale Sayers, who reached the end zone in six straight games – twice – in 1965.
Pretty impressive company for a fifth-round draft pick.

if i'm the only one ever responding......where are DA BEARS fans?
Kudos to Jerry Angelo and the scouts for finding this GEM. He's been a dynamite find and has contributed mightily thus far.....which begs the question....is Juaquin Iglesias still alive?
As for the nickname......how about....'the 513 Express'.......5th round....number 13....blinding speed.
Why not Johnny "Mr. Opportunity" Knox?!
