Viciedo shut down

The White Sox announced Dayan Viciedo will no longer play in the Arizona Fall League due to inflammation in his right elbow.
Viciedo, 20, batted .333 (6-for-18) with 1 home run and 6 RBI in 4 games with the Peoria Javelinas. A teenage star in his native Cuba before signing with the Sox last winter, Viciedo played third base for Class AA Birmingham and batted .280 with 12 HR and 78 RBI in 130 games.
Brent Morel, who batted .281 with 16 HR and 79 RBI in 128 games with Class A Winston-Salem, takes Viciedo’s spot in the AFL.

Hope you are on vacation...

I know this blog doesn't get read or posted very much but a few updates wouldn't be too bad. It would be nice to hear what Kenny and scouts are saying about Morel and Danks (along with the others) in the AFL since it is likely that those guys will be looked at to be starters for the Sox shortly. Plus the news about Teahen, Dye, Podsednik, and such.

Just a thought.

Rumor...

Just heard that we traded Getz and Fields for Teahan. Interesting deal if we did. The question would be where does Kenny and Ozzie see Teahan playing. He has played 3B, 2B, and OF for the Royals.
