How do you fix the Bears?

How do you fix the Bears?

What better time to tweak the lineup than this Sunday at home against a 1-6 Browns team that has scored less than 7 points in 4 of its 7 games this season?

The Browns have also allowed 27 points or more in 5 of their games. So why not shake up the lineup and light a few fires under some rear ends?

I’d like to see Josh Beekman get a shot at left guard, where Frank Omiyale has done very little to earn the job and less to keep it. Beekman started 16 games last season and did nothing to lose his job in training camp except have a smaller paycheck than Omiyale.

I wouldn’t mind seeing if Kevin Shaffer could do a better job opening holes at right tackle than Chris Williams has so far.

More than anything, I’d like to see the Bears commit to the mostly ineffective and ignored running game against a Cleveland defense that is No. 31 in rushing yards and average gain per run allowed. The Bears have run the ball just 55 times in their last three games, two of which were losses. That’s no way to get off the bus.

That’s all I’ve got for now, but if anyone else has any ideas regarding lineup changes, I’d love to hear about ‘em.

Bears - Browns

I believe Ron Turners offense coordination this week end will make the Browns defense look like a super bowl team. How many quarterbacks do we need to go through before
we realize that it is not working right. As for the defense, We should scrap the "COVER 2
AND LET 9 RUN WILD" as it is clearly not working. The opposing teams seems to march right down the field unopposed ! Sure someone makes a play once in a while, But in general it seems to be a failure. Turn overs are nice, But why bother if you are just going to have Ron Turner call for a trap play on 3rd and 28 ?

Why can't we go with what worked last year, Start throwing the ball to Forte and Wolfe as it will open up the other receivers. Once that happens, the running game will be able to come around nicely !! We all know Cutler can play, You are just trying to tune a Ferrari with a Chevrolet manual.

Move Williams to Left Guard

How about moving Chris Williams to Left Guard and put Kevin Schaffer in at RT. . .

Garret Wolfe

Finally would that 'Tard turner work 25 in on some gadget/misdirection plays and let him use his speed on the outside....not between the hash marks.

p.s. fire the walking coma Lovie Smith asap.

Which is it Bob?

"It may be time to get off the bus throwing the ball."

That's how you ended today's article.

"More than anything, I’d like to see the Bears commit to the mostly ineffective and ignored running game..."

and that's from this morning's blog.

It seems that you are no more "wise" than all of the e-mailers and callers on sports talk radio.

Who you crappin?

Des Clark

So I know Olsen is the #1 tight end, but his blocking on a couple of plays were pathetic. Looked my me out there at the "tender" age of 42 trying to block..

Isn't Clark the better blocker? I think you play him more this game to try and get the running game untracked.
