With freshman guard Drew Crawford leading the way, Northwestern set a pair of Big Ten records during its 90-65 win over North Carolina A&T on Sunday.

The Wildcats made 20 3-pointers, which eclipsed Ohio State's 18 3s at Louisiana State on Jan. 18, 2005. Their 47 3-point attempts killed the mark owned by Michigan. The Wolverines put up 42 3s against Florida Gulf Coast on Dec. 22 of last season.

Northwestern's previous records were 15 makes and 36 attempts. Crawford, the streaky Naperville Central graduate, hit 6 3-pointers in the first half on his way to an 8-for-13 showing for the day. His 35 points set an NU freshman record, but they're not the high-water mark on the current roster. Redshirting senior forward Kevin Coble hit up Indiana for 37 on Feb. 23, 2008.

As impressive as Northwestern's long-range shooting happened to be, it wasn't even the nation's best showing of the weekend. Seton Hall buried 20 of 35 3-pointers in a 134-107 win over VMI on Saturday.
