Domestic incidents, borrowing and carp -- The Morning Trough

Up today:

Gov. Pat Quinn, "the building governor," is holding a press conference in Pekin to announce funding for a road project there.

Cook County Board President Todd Stroger is holding a press conference this morning on cost cutting and efficiency. Then former Republican state lawmaker Roger Keats is holding a press conference in his race for Cook County Board president,

Robert Dold, a Republican candidate in the 10th District primary, is up with his third TV ad in the race.


U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, Chicago Mayor Richard Daley and U.S. Rep. Debbie Halvorson are getting together to talk about the push from other states for Illinois to do something about Asian carp infestation. The press conference is set for late this morning.

And tonight the field of Senate Democratic candidates will debate on ABC 7. The debate will air at 11 p.m.
