Conan and Jay vs. NBC

This late-night battle is getting ridiculous. NBC is screwing both Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien over. Personally, I'm a Dave Letterman fan, and if I had to choose between Conan and Jay, Conan would lose. However, Conan is the one getting screwed over royally by this new deal, and I don't blame him at all for coming out today and saying that he'll quit "The Tonight Show" if NBC bumps his time slot. Frankly, the only thing Conan is guilty of is not seeing something like this coming. Has he forgotten what NBC did to Dave Letterman when Johnny Carson left "The Tonight Show" in the 1990's? Screwing over comedic talent is what NBC does best!

I'd love it if both Jay and Conan quit NBC tomorrow, but I doubt that will happen. My prediction is that NBC will give Conan what he wants and kiss Jay goodbye, or Jay will bow out and leave the 11:35 p.m. time slot to Conan because he seems like a pretty gracious guy. We'll see what tomorrow brings, I suppose.
