Rose, Deng will sit out again
Derrick Rose will sit out a third game to rest the sprained left wrist he injured last week in a mid-air collision with Orlando's Dwight Howard. Rose will watch as the Bulls try to avoid a ninth straight loss tonight in Dallas.
Luol Deng will miss his fourth game with a right calf sprain. It appears very likely Rose will return Friday when the Bulls host LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers at the United Center. Deng's return is less certain.
Rookie forward Taj Gibson is listed as questionable for tonight's contest because of lingering plantar fasciitis in his left foot, which so far hasn't caused him to miss any games. Gibson had a rough night on Tuesday in Memphis, fouling out after producing 2 points and 3 rebounds in 26 minutes.
Center Joakim Noah suggested Tuesday he'll try to return Saturday when the Bulls play at Philadelphia. Noah hasn't played since Feb. 26 because of plantar fasciitis in his left foot.
The Philadelphia game is something of a new beginning for the Bulls, the start of a much easier final 14 games of the regular season. The 76ers had lost 10 of their last 11 games heading into Wednesday's action.
The Bulls feel if they can get everyone healthy, they can still make a final push for the playoffs.
