Time to give Jordan Danks a shot?

In case you're wondering, a 1-for-11 slump has dropped Jordan Danks' batting average to .270 at Class AAA Charlotte. But Danks still has a respectable .360 on-base percentage and he's stolen six bases in eight attempts. Just in case you're wondering, or just in case you've already seen enough of Juan Pierre. *Is Bobby Jenks' right calf still bothering him? The Sox' struggling closer said it feels a lot better than it did at the end of last season, but Jenks doesn't look right. Jenks did strike out all three Texas hitters he faced Thursday, but he also allowed 2 runs on 3 hits while again making Ozzie Guillen's blood pressure rise. In 9 relief appearances this season, Jenks has retired the side in order just one time. If his struggles continue, Ozzie has three options for the ninth inning _ Matt Thornton, J.J. Putz and my choice _ Sergio Santos. *The Minnesota Twins have lost two straight, and now there's some concern about first basemam Justin Morneau's back. The 2006 MVP was sidelined down the stretch with the same injury last season, and Morneau has missed two games after “tweaking” his back Tuesday.
