Look for Gov. Rod Blagojevich to make news today regarding the ethics legislation lawmakers sent to his desk. He's running out of time to act on it and the conventional wisdom is he'll veto it as part of his "rewrite to do right" agenda and send it back to lawmakers.

Joseph Ryan cut his teeth covering Gov. Rod Blagojevich's first session, voter fraud and pedophile priests.

Today he covers projects and politics for the Daily Herald, focusing on making politics make sense and making public policy make good.

Ryan followed the presidential campaign trail in Illinois and Ohio and covered numerous other races, including the Phil Crane and Melissa Bean battle. He has also exposed systemic problems with the state's gambling policy and the tollway's I-PASS system.
