The worst Metallica song ever.

It's so bad, I won't even embed the video. Click here, and beware: This is the last track on the new Metallica record, and might be the last track they ever record.
It's that terrible.
It's a shame, seeing as I liked the other songs I've heard from "Death Magnetic" so far. But this ... this sounds like an outtake from "St. Anger."

Bass Solo take 1
He just posted WHY he thinks it is the worst Metallica song ever, even though he admits "musically" there are others...which is nonsense. How can you rate a song good or bad, other than musically? HE also states that they are just trying to "win back fans" with this one, which Metallica fans know right off away is bullshit because Metallica have never done anything for anyone but themselves, hence the rock albums Load and Reload. As a guitar player I can assure these are great, fast and loud riffs, and yeah they aren't Master Of Puppets but well if you can compartmentalize so well you can realize they never will be. Hahahahah seriously do you even play music?? The riff almost seems happy? I think to many episodes of Lost fu**ed up your head. I also cant see why you think there is no bass on it....pretty apparent its there to me. Maybe you should listen to it on something other than your Sears tape recorder. I guess you just cant afford one. Bottom line is that if you dont like this song than you dont like Metallica.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I bet you're going to get a ton of reactions from your post. "My Apocalypse" is by far not the worst Metallica song ever in my book. James Hetfield is singing with the passion and ferocity of the 1980's but with more versatility here that actually makes this song that much better. I also love how the guitars glide over the pulsating drums after the 3 min mark. This song's got a frantic edge to it that would get anyone who loves metal going. It's no wonder that the song is already in the top #15 on the iTunes Chart - because a ton of people who like this genre of music is eating this song up real fast.
I am curious that you rip the song but don't explain why the song is musically so bad from the rest of their cataloge. I am also wondering exactly what kind of Metallica songs you like and dislike - if you're not a fan of thrash metal, are you saying this is far worse than other thrash songs they've done like "Dyer's Eve" or "Damage Inc."? Lastly, I hate to bring this up, just to make sure because of its apparent audacity, is your post really meant to convey a true disapproval of the song or just be a means to facilitate more traffic onto your Daily Herald website because of it's possible sensationalistic image?
this guy has to be the most retarded person ever.
he should have seen this coming, a horde of angry metallica fans dropping sh*t all over his lovelly blog.
my reflection on his comments on the new song, is that he probally listens to tina turner and all that other sh*t while he´s eating his cheerios in the morning, whisteling along to som sh*tty tune he just heard on the most sellout mainstream sh*t radio.
then he get´s in his car and drive to work... ahhh finally at work.. now lets check out that new metallica tune.. omg I hope it´s nothing else matters 2 or maybe inter sayndmayn or something... ohhh Im going to cream myself... and so on...
you need to get a new job mate, try city sanitation or something like that. cus the way youre throwing shit at metallica would sertainly fit in that sort of occupation.
oh and your blogging skills are pure shite mate. you are lucky some fan at the metboards posted the link to your site,(cus I sure as h*ll wouldnt) cos now you know that you should never fok with metallica or their fans. leave the criticism to those who criticise, in other words the music critics.
You actually got paid to write this blog? Please go in to detail of how this is the worst Metallica song ever.
nuff said.
I seriously wonder if a guy wearing a shirt and tie in his picture has the qualifications to judge a Metallica song. Maybe Michael Bolton or Yanni. I just hope this guy doesn't own Kill em All, he would say they sold out in 83.
...apparently every Metallica fan on the internets reads your blog, or at least it's easy enough to find that they come from all over to bash you. Maybe it's just one guy who floods the Metallica message boards with links to come hate on you. Either way, the Herald must be thrilled at the increase in traffic. ;) I do find it humorous that you are being called out for not being there since Kill em All... You were what, 3 years old when it was released? And of course there are the "go listen to Load" comments... even from people who claim to like those records. I will never understand Metallica fans... they are like music critics only worse.
Why the hell are you here leaving comments? Clearly you know about as much as this guy about Metallica, maybe you should get together with him and you guys can watch Lost together, how sweet. Maybe while Load is playing in the background. And by the way superdouche there is nothing worse than a music critic.
With Metallica fans you just get "superdouche"...
Metallica fans hate Metallica music (or at least half of it)
They also hate the people who like Metallica post 1988 (regardless of whether or not said people own the pre-1988 records).
They also hate people who hate Metallica.
Shouldnt you be rocking out with your grandma to josh groban already?/ Seriously superdouche I hate hate hate you, now go suck off a shotgun filled with my hate.
You must be a complete moron to say that this the worst Metallica song ever...you are trying to say this is worse than Fixxer or Mama Said??...either a) you have NO idea what Metallica is about and where they came from OR b) you just want to create some comments for your blog because usually no one pays attention to what you say. I say it is both.
This is a wicked in your face thrashy number that real fans who were there since Kill Em All have been waiting on for years now. Its got killer riffs, it's loud and fast, has a great solo and at 5 minutes its relentless. Its great. And are you kidding me? This is far from the last track they record, seriously man, go get your Load and Reload albums and since you prolly got into Metallica when the Black album came out, go get that out to and avoid talking about real Metallica music anymore.
Whoah, it doesn't sound anything like St. anger despite maybe it's heavy and fast. It's miles better than St. anger.
I should listen to Damage Inc. or Dyers Eve and than come back
Its easily the best thrash song they've put out since And Justice For All. I can easily name a dozen or more songs of theirs that are worse including every song on St. Anger. Its a breath of fresh air from the radio friendly stuff they have been putting out for almost 20 years now. Not that I didn't like that also. If you don't like heavy metal or thrash then this Metallica album probably will not be for you.
its like st anger, but with less trash can... and I think I heard a solo coming before I shut it off.
