PK hits 3-run HR; Manny gets hit

CLEVELAND _ In his final at-bat Wednesday in his first game with the White Sox, Manny Ramirez was hit in the back by a pitch from Indians reliever Justin Germano in the eighth inning.
Paul Konerko hit a 3-run homer in front of Ramirez to put the Sox in front 5-4.
No, Germano wasn’t throwing at Manny. He appeared to lose his grip on a curveball and the pitch that hit Manny was clocked at 70 mph.
On the day, Manny was 1-for-3 with the HBP. He came out after being hit and was replaced by pinch-runner Alejandro De Aza, who was called up from Class AAA Charlotte earlier in the day.
De Aza was out trying to steal second base.
