Bulls guard Kyle Korver said Monday he's been bothered by a cyst in his left ankle. He had a cortisone shot, but is hoping surgery will not be necessary.
Korver shot 54 percent in the first four preseason games, then went 2 for 11 from the field in the last two.
"I got a cortisone shot about four days ago," he said Monday at the Berto Center. "They’re hoping that kind of takes it away. I think we’re going to give it a little more time. It’s feeling better gradually, but it’s not there yet.”
In other injury news, forward Taj Gibson practiced full-speed Monday after missing the two games over the weekend with a sore right heel. He expects to play Wednesday in Toronto.
BULLS HIT WOODFIELD, WATER TOWER PLACE
As this is written, the Bulls are approaching the three-hour mark at Monday’s practice.
Meanwhile, a couple of area shopping malls have made connections. Later Monday, from 5-6 p.m. the Bulls will greet fans at Water Tower Place in Chicago.
The team also announced the opening of a Bulls kiosk at Woodfield Mall, with coupons for 10 percent off merchandise until Oct. 31.
