Don't look for Patrick Kane to return to the Blackhawks' lineup until after Christmas.
The Hawks host Columbus on Dec. 26, and even that might be pushing it for Kane.
Kane didn't skate Sunday after leaving practice early on Saturday when he tweaked his sprained left ankle again.
"The last couple times he didn't get through practice so we figured to give a little time here and see where it's at," coach Joel Quenneville said.
Kane was hurt Dec. 5 and was expected to miss three weeks. Sunday marked two weeks since he suffered the injury.
Meanwhile, Marian Hossa skated again Sunday morning as he continued to move toward a possible return Wednesday against Nashville.
Hossa has missed the last nine games with a lower body injury.
Viktor Stalberg, who has sat the last two games with a suspected head injury, also skated Sunday.
"With Hoss and Viktor, there's a chance we'd like to see those guys playing possibly against Nashville," Quenneville said.
