I’m sure everybody is as tired of reading these injury updates as I am writing them, but here we go. Viktor Stalberg won’t play tonight against Nashville, missing his third straight game with a concussion. The thinking is to give Stalberg three more days to heal before the Hawks return from the Christmas break on Sunday against Columbus. “I’m cleared to play, but we’ve been successful the last two game so we’ll go with the same lineup tonight and it’ll be good for me too,” Stalberg said. “We have a couple extra days in between here and make sure I’m 100 percent to go on the 26th here.” Patrick Kane skated on his own Wednesday morning with coach Joel Quenneville saying it went well. Marian Hossa didn’t skate. Neither Kane nor Hossa will skate again until Sunday, which leaves their chances of playing against the Blue Jackets in question. Corey Crawford starts in goal for the 10th time in the last 12 games. Let’s go streaking: Bryan Bickell has 5 goals in the last seven games. Brian Campbell has points in the last three games. Troy Brouwer has 3 goals in the last four games. Brent Seabrook has 3 assists and is plus-4 in the last three games. Jonathan Toews has 6 goals and 7 assists in the last nine games.
