According to SI.com, the White Sox and free-agent Will Ohman, a left-handed relief specialist, have agreed to a two-year, $4 million contract pending a physical.
Ohman could very well be the final piece the Sox add heading into the 2011 season.
The 33-year-old reliever is needed to face tough left-handed hitters like the Twins’ Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau.
The White Sox’ bullpen shapes up like this: Chris Sale is your closer, Matt Thornton and Jesse Crain are the primary setup guys, Sergio Santos is behind them, Tony Pena is the long man and Ohman the left-handed specialist.
