Defenseman Brian Campbell felt good following Wednesday’s morning skate and is expected to be in the lineup against Florida.
Campbell missed the last three games with an injured foot.
“I felt good yesterday and the best part about it is I felt good again today,” Campbell said. “That hasn’t happened for a while.”
Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville liked the jump he saw from Campbell.
“I thought he looked really good today,” Quenneville said. “I thought he pushed himself more than he did yesterday and looks like he’s ready to go tonight.”
Newcomer Marcus Kruger will center the third line for Troy Brouwer and Bryan Bickell as the Swede makes his NHL debut.
“It feels great to finally be here and do what I can to help the team,” Kruger said. “Obviously this is a good team, the defending champions. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
The Hawks start the night in seventh place in the Western Conference but can move into fifth past Los Angeles and Nashville with their sixth straight victory at the United Center.
