Jake Peavy left Sunday’s start against the Tigers with another injury.
Know what you’re thinking, but the White Sox are saying the 30-year-old starting pitcher had to make an early exit with a strained right groin muscle.
Peavy was sharp in the first 3 innings, holding Detroit without a hit and striking out the side in the first inning.
But it all came apart in the fourth, when the Tigers scored 6 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks. Ryan Raburn’s grand slam was the big blow.
Peavy will be reevaluated tomorrow.
Guesses on how long he’ll be out? I say Peavy goes to the 15-day DL.
