Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane underwent successful surgery on his left wrist Tuesday and is expected to make a full recovery.
Kane had repaired a scaphoid fracture, an injury that has been lingering since the end of the 2010-11 season.
“Patrick will begin doing modified preseason workouts shortly and we hope for a full return to activity in 6-8 weeks,” said Hawks team physician Dr. Michael Terry.
The Hawks will head to training camp in mid-September. Their regular season opener is Oct. 7 in Dallas.
