Peavy falls short

White Sox starter Jake Peavy lost to the Final Vote to Texas Rangers counterpart Yu Darvish and he won't be going to the All-Star Game, barring injury to a player already on the American League roster.
“We knew we had a tough fight ahead of us,” Peavy said. “I just can’t thank the White Sox, friends, family, the fans … the support was overwhelming. It was humbling, incredible. We had so much fun with it. It just wasn’t meant to be.”
