Romney is coming to town for Roskam
Former Republican presidential contender Mitt Romney is set to swing through the suburbs and raise cash for U.S. Rep. Peter Roskam.
The fundraiser is set for Oct. 21. The entrance fee is $150 or $250 with a date. It will run $1,000 per person and $1,500 per couple to get into the dinner and for a photo with the former Massachusetts CEO.
"Romney coming to campaign for the congressman is a reflection of the congressman's accomplishments," boasted spokesman Matt Vriesema when asked about the recently announced fundraiser.
Roskam was actually an early and staunch supporter in the primaries of Sen. John McCain, who easily took DuPage County and the state.
The fundraiser will be held in Oak Brook.
Romney is not currently scheduled to raise money or stump for any other Republican candidate in the state.
