Does Ventura deserve suspension?

You make the call. Should White Sox manager Robin Ventura be suspended for making contact with umpire Jim Joyce Saturday night? Ventura bumped into Joyce a few times, and now it's up to MLB to determine if it was intentional. I think Ventura deserves to slide with a fine and no suspension. If you look at the replays, it was actually Joyce that initiated most of the contact while trying to keep Ventura away from home-plate umpire Lance Barrett, who ejected him and catcher A.J. Pierzynski. Joyce also grabbed Ventura several times. “I had no issue with what Jim was doing,” Ventura said before Sunday’s game vs. Seattle, which is still in a rain delay. “He's doing his job and I'm doing mine. I have no issue.” Ventura and Joyce had an animated conversation, and it could actually help the Sox’ manager avoid a suspension. “I even told him that I don't want to bump you,” Ventura said. “He said, 'You are not bumping me.' It was more of a dance than it was a bump.”
