The "unassuming" Howard Dean

As I prepared to talk with Highland Park's Lauren Beth Gash and the Illinois delegation breakfast about her experience in Charlotte so far, former Vermont governor and former head of the Democratic National Committee Howard Dean popped in the room to give her a hug.
"The road to a majority in the House of Representatives goes right directly through Illinois," Gash said.
"Unfortunately it does," Dean said. "Because we lost a few."
He was presumably talking about the 2010 Republican wave election that swept the GOP into control of the House.
Gash enjoyed the quick surprise visit.
"He's so unassuming," she said.
