I think the White Sox and Tigers are going to be tied with 87-75 records after the final game of the regular season is played Wednesday.
I think Justin Verlander is just a little better than Chris Sale in Thursday’s division tiebreaker at Comerica Park.
Then again, I thought traffic on the Kennedy Expressway was going to be good this morning.
It’s really a coin flip as we head into Saturday’s play, with Sale and the Sox hosting the Rays and Verlander and Detroit playing at Minnesota. Both games start at 3:05 p.m.
Considering all of their starts and stops, it’s hard to predict what the White Sox or Tigers are going to do over these last 5 games.
I do know this year’s stretch run is a lot more interesting for the Sox than it’s been the past three years.
And, if they get the bats going and get hot, who knows how far they can go.
What are you thinking out there?
Are the White Sox going to the playoffs? Or, are they going home?
