Schmidt's cameo in SuperPAC ad for Walsh:

A state lawmaker who's made headlines for recent stalking charges has a cameo in a SuperPAC's recently released ad touting Joe Walsh.

The overwhelmingly positive spot, which cost the group a total of $810,000 to run on five broadcast stations in the area, highlights Walsh's focus on constituents and praises his turning down of congressional perks. Among the images of Walsh that rotate him through the ad include one of him hugging disgraced state Sen. Suzi Schmidt, who's facing stalking charges. The Lake Villa Republican is accused of trying to use her political strength to keep cops away from a domestic disturbance.

Walsh's campaign, by law, cannot have anything to do with the SuperPAC, but we thought it was an interesting coincidence to note anyway.
