Walsh decries ad that describes him as "deadbeat dad"

Republican Congressman Joe Walsh is describing of his opponent's political use of a child support suit he faced earlier thisyear as "graceless."

Walsh's comments came following the launch of a television ad and mailer which highlight the more than $117,000 his ex-wife, Laura Walsh, contended in a December 2010 suit that he owed in child support and interest. The pair settled the suit out of court last spring, releasing a joint statement to the press that Walsh "was not, and never was a deadbeat dad."

In a late Monday afternoon fundraising e-mail, Walsh urged supporters to donate to his campaign to chip in money to send a message to get the ad pulled. Hmm.

"Not only is this commercial completely inaccurate, but it is nothing short of graceless. The only thing this commercial shows us is that they are on their last desperate attack to try and buy this seat."
