POTUS keeps election day tradition alive
Like us, you've read that President Obama has been keeping track of "lasts" in his final campaign for president. Last debate prep. Last campaign rally. Etc.
Well, 2010 Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alexi Giannoulias has revealed that one more tradition is taking place - POTUS' "last" election day hoops workout.
Obama is teamed up with Giannoulias and former Chicago Bull Scottie Pippen in the pickup match at Hope Athletic Center on the city's West side, according to Giannoulias' tweets. The game, he says, also involves former aide Reggie Love and U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan.
"Okay, good news: Pippen and B.O. are both on my team!" Mr. Giannoulias's tweet reads. "Reggie, Sec. Duncan- here we come."
Giannoulias, who narrowly lost his bid for Senate to Republican Mark Kirk, of Highland Park, now works as an adviser for BNY Mellon.
