It’s official, Kirk back Jan. 3.
U.S. Sen. Mark Kirk is planning to be back in action come Jan. 3, when Congress convenes, his staff officially announced this week. The Highland Park Republican has been recovering at home since he suffered an ischemic stroke and underwent brain surgery in late January. Following a November stairclimb for charity at the Willis tower, Kirk indicated he would be back for the new session, but aides to the Highland Park Republican said Thursday he “remains on track to be back when the Senate convenes on Jan. 3rd for the 113th Congress.”
