Moylan to push for assault weapons ban

Des Plaines Mayor Marty Moylan is currently recovering from knee replacement surgery, but hasn't totally stopped working. The outgoing mayor and incoming state rep., a Democrat, tells staff writer Madhu Krishnamurthy that when he is sworn into the legislature in January, he will push hard for a ban on assault weapons - one of his campaign promises, which is weighing heavily on his mind in the wake of the Connecticut school shootings last week.
