Luol Deng is planning to be back in the starting lineup Monday night when the Bulls try to avenge their New Year's Eve loss to Charlotte at the United Center.
Deng missed the past five games with a right hamstring strain. Jimmy Butler played well in his place, averaging 14.2 points and 8.8 rebounds while playing 45 minutes per game.
The Bulls suffered a forgettable loss to Charlotte on Dec. 31. The Bobcats snapped an 18-game losing streak by beating the Bulls 91-81. Kemba Walker led Michael Jordan's team that day with 18 points.
Ex-Bulls guard Ben Gordon is averaging 13.2 points off the bench for the Bobcats. Another former Bull, Tyrus Thomas, is back in the lineup after missing several weeks with a torn calf muscle.
