Overcharged for items purchased at Target, Walmart, Meijer... at the register?

Target to pay $1.7 million for overcharging customers at registers.

I was so so so happy to see this story. I am always checking my receipts to make sure I have been charged the correct amount. Almost 90% of the time, I am being ripped off. It's so bad, that when I say that I was overcharged for an item, cashiers don't even bother doing a price check anymore. They just enter in whatever I tell them.
